Employment Anyone?

Joel's post made me stop and think that we might give consideration to helping each other find jobs in this depressed economy. There's still jobs open and people being hired. Finding them is the trick. We could do this on one of the sub-sites here if the powers that be (U-No-Who) would allow it.

Helping someone find a job when they don't have one is a real act of love and support.

For instance, does anyone in Atlanta know of any senior or management level technical writing jobs there? My address is open.

    What about it folks?

I'm for it...I need a job right now... I have been trying to find work ever since I moved to Las Vegas.

I have a contractors license and would be willing to help others here if I could help myself.

i think we should help others out ... god knows we are all the same boat especially if you are in your 50's or older and spent your life a a dub.

I am an engineering level technical writer. I have not worked as such for a year. Willing to move to western USA. Have resume available. I am stuck in a small non-technical area in Nebraska.

I'd offer to help anyone find a job around here but I really don't know of any, even for myself. I do computer tech, network engineering, and website design. I'm in Indiana right now but would be more than willing to relocate just about anywhere.

    Thanks!

OK, I'll bite. I am a software developer that is an expert in several languages, primarily C++ and MFC. I am looking for work in British Columbia, Washington state, or any State that is within a reasonable drive to Seattle each weekend.

What do you mean? This economy is doing great. We have only 86000 unemployed people in the country, and the Swiss Franc is going up every day with respect to the US Dollar.

Oops ... sorry. Now that I think it better, perhaps by "this economy" you mean US economy. Sometimes I forget this is an amirikins-for-amirikins board.

    I need a part-time job.
It has to be part-time, between 8.30 am and 2.30 pm.
I have an associate degree in accounting.
I speak french and english and understand german.
    Anything, filing, proofing, data entry...
I haven't worked for over 10 years in an office environment, at home Mom and all that...
And it has to be right here in my neck of the woods !

I'm leaning towards just going back and finally getting my degree. I know at least part of the reason I lost this job is that I am now part of a big company again and my new boss puts all his credence in education, not experience or ability. Thats why I got axed. I am the lowest educated person in management there.
