Finding Jobs? How 'bout Spouses?

If we can find (or help find) people jobs, can we play Match-maker, too? I think being raised as a 'witness' puts me in a unique 'class' (aka 'co-dependent ha ha). Now that I'm 41 (Divorced, White, Professional, Female [mom]) I have discovered many things about why I have become the person I am. I think others raised in (or around) the 'truth' can relate.

How about it? Are there any mature, kind, single, emotionally and economically stable men out there? I'm looking!

Well, I can be kind at times. Sorry I can't help you with the other parts.

I've heard the statistics on these on-line romances. They're quite astounding. But I just want someone to hold at night...okay, I want a bit more than that!

Actually, my sister has had wonderful luck with online romance. She's still a JW and so's her husband. Someway or another (don't remember how) they met each other on the net and ended up meeting in real life and he eventually moved here to Indiana in the US from Denmark. A few of the elders gave her hell about it because her exhusband's (who was an abusive alcholic that cheated on her repeatedly) dad was friends with them was an elder but they couldn't really stop her. That was a couple years ago and everything she's said about the guy has been nothing but very positive.
Come to think of it, a guy I used to know ended up marrying a girl he met over the net and another one of my good friends and his girl friend of the past year or so met that way also. Don't get me wrong, before I got married I had a few not so wonderous encounters with women I met over the net and I've heard of some rather horrible dates from my friends too. Actually, the worst date I ever had was with a net girl. I'd say the chances are about as good as anywhere else.

Robin and I met on the Net. So did my ex and her current husband.

Robin and I got hell from relatives at first, but now they like both of us.

My ex has a good response for those who gave her hell about meeting a guy on the Net: "Where would you like us to meet? At a bar?"

Hey, Net-hopping can't be worse than bar-hopping. In both cases you really do not know what you are getting into...

    Hi WhatNow:

Are you still a JW? DA'd? DF'd? Fading? Going to meetings?

    Regards, Picosito
