I loved all the links/videos - AWESOME! Love watching this stuff; some of which I hadn't seen before.
May I add a bassist: not famous, but was exceptionally cool here in the Toronto area: Rhonda Bruce.She played with bands such as: Patchouli (not the Seattle band); Holly Go Lightly; My Dear Heretic.
Indie bands often (local) non-national/international of course, get lost in the grander scheme of things.
But if anyone can find a video or sound clip of her: you will NOT be disappointed.

Anyway, Brian Ritchie from Violent Femmes is an astounding bass player. One of my favourites, up there with the awesome John Entwhistle RIP.

Rayzorblade, I couldn't find Rhonda Bruce; but I found Rhonda Smith. She used to play with Prince's New Power Generation and she plays with Jeff Beck.
