    Maybe it will release her....

Allow her to get help she need from a counselor.

Why don't you show her the KS-91......

    Serenity,

There is one reason that she would write that letter. It is because she has faith. She has real faith in God and that God wants her to be true in her conscience.

The process took a while for me but I too, wrote a letter of dissent to the Branch after I met with the Elders.

I don't regret it at all. It took a while but everyone showed their "true" colors. They don't care about God I discovered, they don't care about your conscience either. They expect you to say what they tell you--no questions asked. What they care about is the F&DS.

It may seem like the boy from whom the demon was thrown out by Jesus. Remember he is thrown about and lies as one dead--but he gets up well, cured.

That religion makes us sick. It is true that we all need love. and for that reason some cling to thr JWs for the community that is there. And some find something like a family there. But anyplace that can happen--it can happen in prison, in universities, at work--literally anywhere. She will find you helping her.

I hope she writes the letter. It will make the Gospels sing to her.

SHOW HER THE SEPT 15, 2010 WT - Earnestly seek Jehovahs blessings PAR 7,,, "We cannot hope to acquire a
good relationship with Jehovah if we ignore
those whom Jesus has appointed to care for
his belongings. Without the assistance of
“the faithful and discreet slave,” we would
neither understand the full import of what
we read in God’sWord nor know how to apply
    it. (Matt. 24:45-47)"

So as you can see there, she just doesn't understand it because she's not part of the GB, but she needs to just accept it!

Then Page 13, Par 8 says - The Governing Body publishes
    spiritually encouraging literature in many
languages. This spiritual food is based on
God’s Word. Thus, what is taught is not
    frommen but fromJehovah.—Isa. 54:13."

SO if she rejects that teaching, it's not the GB she's rejecting, it's Jehovah!

Page 15, Par 16 says - "However, downplaying doctrines
leaves people with a shallow faith and certainly
does not unite the divided house of
Christendom." - So she must have 100% faith in the doctrine of the new generation, or she's part of CHRISTENDOM!!!!

Page 21, par 1 says - "CHRISTENDOM’S churches have human
leaders, such as the pope of Rome, the
patriarchs and metropolitans of the Eastern
Orthodox churches, and the heads of other
    religions. Jehovah’s Witnesses recognize no
human as their leader." - So again, she is refusing to accept some new light from Jehovah! not the GB!

    Page 23, par 8 - "The anointed
    and their other sheep companions
    recognize that by following
the lead of the modern-day Governing
Body, they are in fact following
    their Leader, Christ."

    - Jesus miraculously allows us to follow the GB's LEAD, yet without them being the leader. This can only happen in God's true congregation, because a false congregation they would be known as leaders!

    Page 26, par 4 - "As Head
    of the Christian congregation,
    Christ has used this
    “faithful and discreet slave”
    to administer His Kingdom
    interests on earth. He has
    provided direction for the
    anointed “domestics” and
    their “other sheep” companions
    by means of a Governing
    Body."

    Page 27, par 10 -

"They recognize, however, that Christ is using
a small group of anointed Christian
men as a Governing Body to lead and direct
    his disciples on earth."

    -----------------------------------

Now the KINGDOM PROCLAIMERS BOOK SAYS THIS.....on Page 210 - "since the visible agency that would be used by Christ IS the faithful and discreet slave (and the FACTS of modern day history already considered show that this 'slave' EMPLOYS the Watch Tower Society as a legal instrument), The Watchtower (not the GB or Jesus) explained that theocratic procedue would REQUIRE that appointments of service be made through this agency!

Infact the entire CHAPTER 15, starting on page 204 is very enlightening. It shows how there used to be elections from the congregations themselves on who would lead, but the WATCHTOWER brougth out how that was not scriptual, it should be holy spirit, and how only they could really do that, and since they are proven as the slave, those who oppose that were infact apostates.

Trouble is, she may well write a letter but lack the oomph to stand by it. They'll simply hit her with a wet bus ticket and she'll say, "See, nothing much happened to me when I questioned Jehovah's organization. that shows we can question things!"

SerenityNow said, "She's 63. She's given her life to this org."

No, she's given A LARGE PART OF HER LIFE to the org, but unless she's already dead, not her ENTIRE LIFE.

The evidence collected from literally billions of case studies, shows that MOST Jehovah's Witnesses DO NOT wake up because of any "crisis of conscience" but because of what is perceived as an unwarranted slap-down from insensitive elders.

I would encourage your mother to write her letter of counsel to the brothers. They will enjoy having a woman teach them, and they will make sure she knows how very much they enjoy it.

Afterwards, you can offer her consolation (emotional support, not the magazine) and the buttery-smooth balm of unconditional love and acceptance. (Also good with popcorn or snails.)

THEN she will be ready to complete her journey.

Nathan Natas "Evidence from BILLIONS of case studies" ?????

I woke up from my 'own' crisis of conscience and a 'personal' study of the bible. I guess I'm not most....? I've had the 'insensitive' elder slap down but that didn't do anything. IT was seeing how others were being treated and the hypocrisy, and finally the scriptures.

    EndofMysteries,

To speak in the same terms as the WTS:

The GB has ruined the 144,000. It has subverted the F&DS.The Anointed who are described at Rev. 14:4 have sold themselves to someone other than the Bridegroom. The Organization requires that all JWs who are not on the GB --INCLUDING THE ANOINTED--must follow the direction of the GB. Rev. 14:4 says that "they follow the Lamb wherever he goes" but the GB has established otherwise. So the Question must be asked and it must be answered:

    To whom do you belong?

    Which god will you obey?

The scriptures warn of that if ever that Slave should begin to eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards and to beat his fellow slaves then at an hour he doesn't expect the Master will arrive and punish him with the utmost severity.

It is a beating unparalleled to be required NOT TO FOLLOW THE LAMB BUT TO FOLLOW A FELLOW SLAVE!

Nathan she is so dejected and defeated that she has no hope in this life. I feel like maybe if I could get her into mental health treatment something could be done. I have actually asked her what it is that keeps her from commiting suicide. Not that I want her to, but she does not derive any joy from life. I just wonder if she were to have the JW rug yanked out from under her at this time in her life, would she recover?

I was raised in, and really believed I was serving God, and part of the one true religion. When I found out the real truth, I was devastated. It was like I had been living in an alternate reality. One thing that I had to help me was my career. To know that I still possessed a body of knowledge I knew to be real was what helped me not loose it. She's been in longer and does not have anything else to cling to. Her self-worth (such as it is) is built on the "fact" that she knows the bible (NWT) backwards and forwards (for what that's worth) and that she has been living her life to please Jehovah.

Long story short, she's not a "half glass full" type of person. She's pessimistic and depressed.

I'm thinking that I probably should not encourage her to write a letter.
