Have any of you started up your own business recently?

Look into the benefits of incorporating your business. (S- Corporation) Doesn't really cost much. I've done it before and it was beneficial.

I didn't know JW's used the term "ordained ministers." I guess I am still learning about the "truth."

Of course, there are many humble folk among Jehovah's Witnesses, usually not those with organizational responsibilities. JW teachings actually work against humility. JWs are taught that among earth's billions they alone will survive God's selective destruction at Armageddon. JWs are taught that they alone have the "truth." They have that truth because their hearts were somehow more receptive to it than the typical non-believer. Other subtle messages indicate superiority: Their organization builds halls faster, feeds large groups faster and more efficiently, translates Scripture better, responds to natural disasters more quickly and efficiently, etc.

Becoming an ex-JW is a humbling experience. How could you have been duped by such an obviously man-made religious cult, wasting decades of your life chasing an illusion, not preparing properly for retirement or seeing to it that your children received an education? Think back to all of the counselors, teachers, householders, fellow employees, neighbors and relatives who KNEW you were brainwashed but couldn't reach you. That is humbling.

In JW world it's a loosely used term to explain your minister status to someone outside of the org, similar to calling the KH a church. I believe the WTS explains the ordination comes at baptism.

As a JW, I humbly accept Jehovah's gift of everlasting life on a paradise planet where animals are tame and those who were non-believers have been destroyed forever, but I have moved into their vacant expensive houses since they and their children have been destroyed.

    Yes JW's are very humble.

Diana ... I am thinking that since you changed the title, perhaps you meant to start a new thread.
