I think the percentage stands for how answers match a particular belief system, or something like that. I don't thinks it's meant to be exact or taken absolutely.

I used to think Unitarians were among the worst kinds of churches because of their liberal stance. That was when I was a Dub.
I recently re-took the Belief-O-Matic at beliefnet.com and it turns out that I am now a Unitarian Universalist. I don't attend and I haven't looked up to see if there's even one in my area, but I like the concept.
There is something to be learned from people of all beliefs.
