Don't do spiritual research outside the Society's publications.

Governing Body's recent consolidation of power (We're the representatives; Only WE get the holy spirit; Obey us; Do not question us).

Around the early 70's, when I was first contacted, that must have been why so many youngsters ( 15 and up) were getting married.

I thought it was stupid then; I still do, now.

Hated the idea that some really good kind ppl who seemed to love God so much would not survive Armageddon unless they became JWs...stopped believing they would after a while.

Same with ppl who hadnt had a witness ...decided that if God was love he'd look after them.

Really despised the power crazed elder types ...got more and more disillusioned by them...and eventually they were what made me give up on the Organisation.

Despite being a 'strong' family for so long...I hated the snobby 'class' structure within the Org...like Bethelites Pioneers CO's & DO's and their friends, Elders and their families, etc etc... awful...

No marriage for those resurrected. Never made sense to me, or anyone I know for that matter. Even the most hardcore dub, finds this teaching hard to accept.

No marriage for those resurrected. Never made sense to me, or anyone I know for that matter. Even the most hardcore dub, finds this teaching hard to accept.

The problem is that's a clear Bible teaching. Read the account where the Pharisees ask Jesus about the woman with 7 husbands who die in sequence. Jesus plainly states that in the resurrection, the resurrected don't marry because they're like the angels in heaven.

Some try to rationalize this and say Jesus was only talking about the heavenly class. But that can't be right because the hypothetical situation they were discussing all involved people who died before Jesus was resurrected--thus, under JW doctrine they could not have the heavenly hope. Therefore, under JW doctrine, there is no way that resurrected people will be able to marry or have kids.

Imagine the JW paradise--a few million normal people and BILLIONS of ASEXUAL resurrected people. Creepy, huh?

I wonder how the housing arrangements would work for the asexual people.
