If you have the existing False Reasoning book, keep it. When the new one comes out, compare the two and point out all the discrepancies and alterations. I bet they will not even think of pointing out the updates--it will be as if the new one was always the truth.

Right on the mark WTWizard, because without the old one they can fool the new converts and tell them we made this it up. Every book this false religion write comes back to bite them in the Ass.

Alsooooooooooooooo, in the reasoning book under the heading off False Prophets they leave out Deuteronomy 18:21- 22, i read that whole section, and they leave that specific scripture out . If your gonna talk about false prophets would'nt you include that one? Priceless.

If they come up with a new edition of the Reasoning book, I'm hoping they feature a completely new section entitled "The Importance of Calling the Kettle Black". I suspect it would be the largest ever section - and would not easily be glued to the NWT - in fact, it might be best to keep it away from the NWT or any other translation.

"REASONING FROM THE SCRIPTURES" PG 137

    IF SOMEONE SAYS -
'My minister said that Jehovah witnesses
    are false prophets'

You might reply: May i ask, Did he show you anything in the Bible that describes what we believe or do and that says people of that sort would be false prophets?... May i show you how the Bible describes false prophets? (Then use one or more of the points outlined on pages 132-136.)

JUST DON'T USE: DEUTERONOMY 18:21-22 BECAUSE THAT WOULD DESCRIBE EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE.

JEHOVAH WITNESSES PROVE IN THIER OWN WORDS THAT THEY
    ARE FALSE PROPHETS.

On pg 133 in "Reasoning from the Scriptures" it says: If any individuals or Organizations claim to represent God but decline to use God's personal name, and make it a practice to express their own opinions on matters, are they measuring up to this important qualification of a true prophet?"

The Watchtower Organization claim to be Gods only channel on earth. They use Jehovahs personal name. And they claim they don't use their own personal opinion on matters, but hold strickly to Bible principles. And we know what they uttered about 1914. SMELL LIKE A FALSE PROPHET TO ME!!!
Hey, they wrote the reasoning book not the so called Apostate.

Wasblind, Listen I'm with you on this, but you paraphrased the noolite as "We lied, there's gonna be ANOTHER generation". That makes two me thinks.

I assumed you paraphrased it that way because that was what you thought the nooolite said. I was also reflecting the fact that I personally had jumped to that conclusion when the noolite came out and found I was wrong, it is two groups in one generation not two generations.

Technical shinnannigans I know, but my point was that accuracy wins the day always as mistakes just gives them an easy out mentally.

    Cheers

Hey Blondie...I still have my "classic" NWT that was leather bound with a Reasoning book...I thought I had all the answers when I carried that door to door!

cult classic, you should have done what some jws did, have the Reasoning book bound in the back of their NWT then it looked like they were reading from the bible.

    Too funny!

I remember one JW girl who kept going on and on about how she wanted one of those. I was on my way out of the org and really didn't care about what I said.

I told her she never would use it and that it was a waste of time and money. She replied that with a generic reply: "but it will be helpful in the field!"

I then told her that she probably never even used the reasoning book out in service and if she did please name the occurance.

    Complete silence followed...
