Does anyone have--or know anyone who has--a 1987 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica or 1987 World Book Encyclopedia?
Researcher on a book need to verify Watchtower references in those volumes. If anyone knows a source, I'll get with you on an email address.

check out public libraries or school libraries.
Already done all that.
Libraries, schools and other academic resources keep the current editions and sell off the old ones to private parties.
This was a last resort, hoping maybe some private party had a set.

Have you asked Britannica for help?
There is a big secondhand charity book fair here every Easter. Heaps of Britannicas. Nobody wants them. Neither do I.
If they have the one you're after it might be possible to photograph the earthquake section, although sometimes the encyclopedias are in an area with very poor lighting.

Hey binadub, I've been having a devil of a job finding those encyclopedias as well! So you've been put on the case too, huh? Hope you have better luck than I've had LOL!
Yes, I've tried contacting Britannica customer support. They said they do not have time to assist people with this kind of request. What was interesting is they said I should try to contact Britannica. (Go figure?)
Black Sheep - I haven't tried to contact one who is selling a set yet. That may be the last resort. Thanks for the suggestion.

Oh it's you! I didn't realise, binadub. It all slots into place now. I have dropped in on the other board from time to time and read through the thought-provoking discussions, but I haven't always felt able to make a meaningful contribution, is all.

She's not selling them. They are in her library. She also has Christian books
