About the only good thing about the conventions is the positive effect they have on the economy. I dont remember ever inviting people to the dc in fs though.

What good do the witlesses do the economy? Yes, they spend money at motels. Yes, they spend money at places where they eat out. However, that aside, they spend little. (Aside gas.) They do not visit malls and spend money there. They do not visit entertainment places and spend money there. They do not visit the tourist attractions and spend money there. Nor do they create anything of value while there: When one neither creates nor consumes value, one has little or no impact on the economy.
They do, however, have a major impact on road conditions. Ever get in a traffic jam because the witlesses were all going into or out of their Grand Boasting Session?

WTW, they do have an effect on the local economy. The money spent on the hotels and restaurants does have an impact, that is stated in the article. Dont get me wrong, they are still a disgusting cult.

Since most vacation in and around their District Convention location, they do visit attractions, etc. Not saying harshly WTW, just sayin'.
