He's just like me. We are on CP time. Proof positive that God, or his son, are not white.

My peeps know about CP time.

Disclaimer: This is NOT WBTS coded or trademarked language. If ya don't know, ya better ask somebody, ya heard!!

This actually comes down to the default position in all these matters. There are often complex and eye-boggling reasons, scriptural reasonings that make your brains start to come out of your ears. The answer is ... so nothing visible happens now, just wait. So the default position is .... if nothing happens, we are on track. Nothing happens, nothing happens.

It wasn't that long ago that when your joints crapped out, you cut a branch off a tree and made yourself a walking stick. Now you can get a replacement joint, in countries with National Health schemes its free. My Dad has had two new hips. He still preaches how bad the world is getting.

Not everything is getting worse. Often, things are better but our expectations are higher.

Religions, by focusing on the negatives, portray an image of deterioration. History shows an improvement. A few hundred years ago my ancestors were filling church graveyards with children while trying to continue their families, only managing a couple of kids reaching breeding age for their efforts. Now we have surgery being performed on unborn foetuses to save them.

    He is awfully patient!

I believe that God must have a master plan that we do not fully understand.

Why does God sit back and let children die of cancer, starvation etc - it is beyond my feeble mind - but that does not mean that God does not care.

That's quite a question for your 12th post, WS. None of the realistic answers are very comforting, and lead to questions about the existence and nature of God. Maybe God is 'semi-competent' and not in full control of his creation; or God is outside nature and time and we are too insignificant for God to notice us.

This world is not Satan's. It isn't God's. It is OURS and it is about time we STOP DEFERRING our responsibility for it

    A very good point....

Man, when will some of you people get it through your thick skulls?

Once again: There is no god. There is no satan.

Life only has one purpose: to procreate.

There is no "the" meaning of life, there is only "meaning" in life, insomuch as you supply it for yourself.

What brings my life "meaning?" Being kind to others. Reading good books. Listening and making good music. Eating a nice meal. A great glass of wine. Making love to beautiful women. Pleasuring myself without guilt. These are all physical things, because that is what I am (we are). Blood, guts, bones, flesh. No spirit, no soul.

Agonizing over the wants and whims of so-called gods is a needless distraction and waste of time from pursuing the physical things that can bring pleasure and/or meaning to your life. Life is short, don't waste it.

Well put Streets... keeping up the expectation that somehow somewhere a all-mighty super natural being will save us from our own pettiness and egotism and from another super natural being with super powers whose only intent is to harm us is the stuff that gave inspiration to comic books!

Therefore the bible is the original comic book!
