Why not wait for the end of the year when the report comes out? I'm guessing by the trends I'm seeing off my spreadsheet for it to be around 11,700 or so (give or take 100).
Mad Sweeney, I just saw your number, I'm thinkin we're both pretty close to actual. Which is interesting because the last 5 years have been going up by a bit.

This is an interesting concept, but I am afraid your methodology won't be too accurate. As Leolaia points out, there is a bias on random sampling. The big challenge here is that the bulk of partakers are primarily from the "mature" territories of the world such as the U.S., Canada and Europe. The "newer" areas such as Africa, South America and Asia have far fewer partakers per congregation, so your extrapolation would be skewed. I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but I think Mad Sweeney is right...we just don't have enough data to work with. I do like the idea of a Nibble-N-Sip pool though...
Jook, did you really? Tell us about it! How did they react?
If you're taking bets then I'll go with less than 11,500,.... Gut feeling is say 11,327 partakers. Which isnt what I was on about above lol.
