beks, Combat Medics are thus named because they are trained and have to be ready for combat situations. Medics also work in hospitals and do various other medical tasks for the Army that do not involve combat. It is possible I may never see combat.
But yes I have to be prepared for the possiblity of serving in the field with infantry and being in actual combat situations.

I don't love my job, but I'm dad-gummed grateful for it!
My boss thinks the sun rises and sets on me, the hours are ok, the benefits are tops.
As long as my work output doesn't suffer, I get to interact with you guys all the livelong day.

I used to be a engineer with bosses that used to micromanage the heck out of me, used to come home with so much stress that it literally took me 2 hours to wind down.
now, I work for myself and love seeing the same 300 customers every week!
I build relationships, see wonderful people that are not witlesses and have no boss on my shoulders.
I come home every night ready to spend time with children playing videos or going to pool stuff

I have always enjoyed getting up and going to work. I cannot say about my job as such as it would easily ID me, but I am so grateful I have not spent my life as an office cleaner or window washer in order to pioneer! It would have killed me!

I'm sad that I have to move on to something else in a few weeks' time.
I love my job, but it drives me to tears. I guess I obsess.

I loved the job I spent the vast majority of my career with. It was a nationally known company and I left on top via as early retirement as you could in that company. Took a job with a major international company and it was a horrible experience. My boss was a female in her early 30's who was a complete psycho. She had never supervised anyone before and they put her over supervisors who had 20-30 years experience in the industry. She was so evil the hourly employees nicknamed her "Chucky", because she looked and acted like the evil doll. I'm no longer in that nightmare, but thinking about going back to work if this cool opportunity in Montana works out.
