In this Super Great RecessionDepression, it is stupid to quit one's job or to risk getting fired for no shows just because you want to make a day at the Grand Boasting Session. What if one were to go to another session that they are not assigned to, so they can take their finals or work their schedule on track? I bet Brother Hounder would put a stop to it--it wasn't that way back when I was in, but they have seen that it is harder to keep people in the cancer when they go wherever they want.
And the idiocy doesn't stop there, either. I remember one "brother" who pulled a no show for FIELD CIRCUS, of all things. He then got a day's suspension, and went in field circus all that day, too. I, for one, would not want to be hiring any witlesses that are very strong in the cancer--they would be pulling no shows or calling in sick for these things.
