Most males have a longer ring finger index. Most females a longer index finger.
A longer ring finger also show a propensity for being good at math, mechanics and music (typically male traits).

The larger the difference the more pronounced the typically male or female traits.
My ring finger is much shorter than my index finger.
I happen to be very feminine in appeareance and demeanor, suck at math, and have no mechanical skills. I like music and and carry a tune but do not play an instrument.

When looked at, the answer is "a", pretty much the same height. However, if you pay attention, you palm follows a slight downward angle. If you take this into consideration then the "ring" finger is actually taller, it's just wehre they are positioned on your hand that makes them look the same.

The results have a bearing on fertility as well.
Longer index fingered females tend to be more fertile. Same for men with longer ring fingers.
Agression follows the same pattern. Violent people tend to have longer ring fingers.
