If you are on the streets of Chi-town, you are doing what my grandmother did about 50 years ago-in reverse.
She joined the JW's and left her family and went on the streets preaching. Not door to door-street preaching. Got locked up a few times.
I am much more proud of you! BTW, what street were you on? I lived at Irving Park and California. Also, BTW, my name is Tina!

We went to the North Unit, which was on Elston. I don't know why we did not go to Wicker Park. It was about the same distance. We lived there in until 1972. Then we moved to Wood Dale. Went to Bensenville Cong, which changed to Addison, when they built a new KH in about 1976.

Once a few months ago some JW's from my old cong. were out in service in my neighborhood and apparetnly didn't realize where I live. After they left my house they went on to a few others. I got in my car and kept following them around honking at them while they were talking to house holders. I ended up calling the police and reporting these suspicous looking men poking around houses in the neighborhood. A few minutes later myself, as well as everyone else in the neighborhood saw some flashing lights behind the JW's. Needless to say, they ended their day a bit early. BTW, the people in the car were from my old congregation and knew me well.
That was such a fun morning.
