The scene in Dr. Strangelove where Major Kong meets his and Humanity's destiny.
There is a lot of irony and jokes in this movie, some obvious some not. My favorite irony is how "Johnny comes marching home" is played throughout all bomber scenes. This song was a Civil War song that celebrated the return of a weary soldier and how all the townspeople would welcome him.
Needless to say, these Johnnies were not going to march back home nor would anyone be in a mood to welcome them.
