These are the tools of PIRATES!

With the architectural instruments, courses are plotted, territories are charted. These are the sophisticates who have designed and delegated the powers.

With the compass rose, the lower level, the waters are navigated and the plans are carried out.

Why all the NAUTICAL symbolism in government and religion?

Need more symbolism to make the connections?

What about the scriptures that refer to the disciples as "fishermen"?

Why are YOU considered as a little fishie?

    Are you being baited?

Archeoastronomers are people who study ancient civilizations and their depiction of cultural references to the various Ages referenced in the study of astrology. Being in the Piscean Age astrologically, it stands to reason there would be lots of "fish" related symbology. Neptune is probably the ruler of Pisces although Jupiter is traditional. Even the glyph for Pisces represents two fish swimming in opposite directions and linked by a ribbon.

notverylikely: "cameo, a square isn't foursquare. It has a single 90 degree angle."

    four·square (fôrskwâr, fr-)

adj. 1. Having four equal sides and four right angles; square. 2. Marked by firm, unwavering conviction or expression; forthright: a foursquare refusal to yield. adv. In a forthright manner; squarely. You will notice that much of this terminology is the language of legalese. A word may have a common meaning, but the legal meaning may be something totally different. Here's another little tidbit that puts the Church into Maritime and Admiralty.

Strategic Definitions and Diagnostics: National Church Development

FMI uses a simple model to describe the process of becoming a fully functioning National Church. Regardless of country, culture, geography or history, the Wheel (as it became to be known) has proven to be an accurate description of the phases in the growth from the initial church plant in a country to when that country sends it own International Missionaries.

The Wheel identifies the most obvious landmarks that any National Church will pass on its way to maturity. That is why the Wheel is like a set of directions “…after you pass the big tree, you’ll come to a dirt path that leads to…” Like a compass, the Wheel enables leaders to find their way and focus their attention on normal progress from one stage to another. Part of the confusion came from the need for legal registration in countries. In order to register, it was necessary to have an identified leader. Consequently, the Foursquare Church in several European countries consists of a single congregation, legally recognized by the government as a national organization. http://ctw.coastlands.org/read/articles/strategic-definitions-and-diagnostics-national-church-development/ Could this be the Wheel of the goddess Fortuna? Does it also represent the wheel of a ship? Why do they have steering committees? All of these things are written in a maritime language. We are dealing with pirates.

You will notice that much of this terminology is the language of legalese. A word may have a common meaning, but the legal meaning may be something totally different. I know, but you specifically referred to a foursquare and then compared it a square and compass. Those are different things. It's not legalese, it's just basic comprehension. Pasting an article that uses the word compass (which, BTW, has more than one meaning) doesn't change the very basic mistake you make with foursquare and A square. Something that is foursquare has four 90 degree angles such as a rectangle. A square is a tool.

notverylikely, If you would spend as much time contemplating the metaphors and symbolism as you do trying to pick something out to be contensious about, you might get a glimmer of the hidden messages here.

As it is, your focus is a moot point and has nothing at all to do with the meaning and message within the content here.

If there is any connection, 18th century Masons ripped off the Old Testament. Just like the Nazis ripped off the swastika. Ancient use of the Swastika does not mean that the ancients were setting up a system of national socialism. Some of the disciples were referred to as fishermen because... well, they were fishermen.
