I agree with the 1984 comparison - I read it and it was terrifyingly like the WTS.
They would exterminate any and all apostates without hesitation. Hell on earth sums it up as in the story above.
Basically the 'new order' they speak of is a totalitarian one world government ruled by an iron rod - no dissenters allowed. Sound familiar?

Having served in Bethel, I think it would be much like a Communist dictatorship similar to the last years of the USSR where everything was mismanaged and wasted. People had no money, no freedom, no hope. Bethel looks all pretty because it spends tons of money to look that way. The majority that go last a few years at most, not a lifetime. Watchtower doesn't want to support more than a handful of aging residents.

I think my jw family on FB already has but no one on FB has unfriended me yet. When I put stuff in my notes on FB I don't publish it so it's not seen on my newsfeed. Folks can see it if they make an effort and go and read my notes.
