Had one turn up on my doorstep to stay. Friend of a friend. He was in the flat for an hour before he was on the phone to some friends from northern Europe. They were on the doorstep the next morning also wanting to stay. Very friendly.
Love them and travelled lots with aussies. Some aussie girls are amazing. Some are scary. Very scary.

I agree. Folks from 'down under' are very friendly.

I also agree with this statement... I've been up close and personal with one, a few years back. Very amazing gal... just a bit... eccentric(?).
I know that one person is a poor sampling of the majority of the feminine population, though.
