It is also used on rank-and-file JWs by those other JWs who have question marks about such rank-and-filers, used for disciplining (refinining, training, testing). A commonplace mark of cults who say their group is God's organization rather crediting God's heavenly supporters the angels and all the true Christians within Christianity in general over the centuries. Being the only correct organization they feel makes it okay to do whatever it takes to purify and refine, sift out impure less-than-godly elements. See?
