I heard this lame excuse many times. I can remember one parent telling their kids that they cannot attend the building functions, except the a$$emblies, because Armageddon could come during the event. And, if it does, Jehovah would make them render an account as to why they were in that building at that time, attending a worldly event, instead of pio-sneering or being with other witlesses.

AFGB really gave himself away by saying he received a standing ovation. JWs are cautioned not to clap at a reinstatement...I highly doubt one would receive a standing O for giving a public talk...something like idolatry.
