Interesting statement on p.357 where he opening addresses the Jewish Repatriation of Palestine as part of God's plan. That was part of the cu de gra in the real and first split in the Watchtower group circa 1906.

Does anybody have a good knowledge of exactly how Rutherford wrested control of the society ? The shares belonging to Russell were willed to sisters, how did he overule them ? Was his coup in any way legal ?

He wrote his will in 1907, which seems rather odd. Didn't Russell expect the end to come by 1914 and that he was going to ge lifted up to heaven at that time? I wonder if he had an inkling his end-times expectations weren't going to happen even back then.

Heh - lots of mentions of the "Lord's invisible return in 1874".
Interesting comment on page 357 - "he admitted to" the title of "faithful and wise servant" in "private conversations". I was always under the impression that he completely refused, or at best tolerated, that designation made by others about him.
