LOL! I've been out for years now and when I shop I still think- I can wear this to the hall, or I can wear this on the stage! Still trying to get out of that ankle length skirt mindset.

Too many smiles. Witnesses think they're happy but really they are afraid of being unhappy. So they smile in an effort to fool themselves and everyone around them.

foundsheep/serenity - I hear you. We threw out our JW wardrobe. I couldn't stand the sight of it in my closet.

too much of the phrase 'I appreciate'

Hanging out with people who for years thought that witnesses did not need to plan for the future,, that was 35 years ago and I still
kick myself for buying into that mindset.
But when most everyone around believes it, it seems like the "normal" thing to do.
