Nevermind... I re-read ChrisJoel's comment, and realized I'd taken the tone and intent wrong...

HEH thats ok, it took me 6 yrs of trying to prove the anti JWs wrong. in the end i had to admit I WAS WRONG...I guess sometimes i have to really try to get my point across clearer..... So when i see JWs on this board just totally ignoring anything and everything put before them, it hits home and i feel for them ,but then it pisses me off at the same time.

That comment shows the black and white mentality common to cults. "There is a right answer, and all other answers are wrong." It is a weak mind that cannot accept no one has the answers.

We are not here to appease the witlesses. If we were, pretty soon we would have the same degree of conformity that the Washtowel Slaveholdery now has, and it would be almost a cult. At best, it would be a nightmare to moderate.

I would rather have a wide variety of differing viewpoints, even if I don't agree with them, that reflect people's true beliefs, than a single standard set of beliefs that would provide the illusion of unity. And that's even though the witlesses are programmed to reject anything that doesn't present unity or that criticizes their organization. In fact, unless you actually re-present what they themselves already put out, they are going to look at it as being from Satan.

I have long suspected that many of the most stubborn "self proclaimed JWs" here are not really typical JWs in good standing. Many have stated clearly non-JW notions of doctrine or religious rules, or use distinctly non-JW typical language terms.

Possibly many of these are frustrated ex-JWs, weak JWs on the fringe, or otherwise disturbed people who come here to cause discord and vent frustration. Some have been suspected of actually having severe mental issues - one recent example was a certain "Alice".

I have yet to see one of these people who I could identify as a typical ordinary JW pioneer or elder similar to the ones I knew when in the organization - which may not be too surprising, as all of these "JW supporters" are actually violating a cardinal JW rule by even coming here.

The way a person relates to the existence of God is more of a personal matter. Here, God is made impersonal by being portrayed as, well, whatever a person psyches themselves into believing. People here have their own personal Watchtower CD and all the old literature at their disposal and use their mind as a weapon of mass distortion by taking things out of context and manipulating information. There are some sharp propagandists here. If you were all in agreement with metaphysical reality that would be one thing, but most mature people would see this as a psychedelic circus.

"God is made impersonal by being portrayed as, well, whatever a person psyches themselves into believing...If you were all in agreement with metaphysical reality that would be one thing, but most mature people would see this as a psychedelic circus." This part of your comment uses terminology that is non-jw. You said God, not Jehovah, that in itself is telling, causing you to be suspect as to being a jw.

"People here have their own personal Watchtower CD and all the old literature at their disposal and use their mind as a weapon of mass distortion by taking things out of context and manipulating information." No, many posters have original printed wt publications. The wt cd has been heavly edited by the tower. When one goes to the original source it can be distorted and taken out of context to be sure. However, when you have many folks using the same source, all of them being diverse in their post jw life, coming to the same conclusions and showing the same context, no distortion exist.

One interesting thing is your avatar, it is ocult in nature, why is that? Alice in Wonderland's was as well. Strang an active jw would use that type of avatar. Are you doing research for a book, or college paper? You do not walk the walk, nor talk the talk.
