This is for all Atheists, Skeptics, Believers, ANYONE to post the biggest CONTRADICTIONS that you believe are found in the Bible, and also to tell about why you believe the God of the Old Testament (Yahweh/Jehovah) is a "MONSTER" (as so many have said on this website in the past).
So This is a DOUBLE-THEMED-THREAD!
I want to see if I can provide good answers/solutions using logic and reasoning.

let me ask you this: Are we able to evaluate Gods actions, or are they all good per definition?
Psalms 40:6 says that God never asked for sacrifices or burnt offerings. Since Ezra the black magician and his corrupt Levite scribes added in all the crap about animal sacrifices, which they took from the Sumerians (what a neat way to have all the guilt-ridden idiots bring you free livestock), that just about sums it up. We have no need of a savior, we need to save ourselves.

I stopped reading the Bible when I saw that God wanted his people to invade the land of Canaan and kill the inhabitants there. This God frightens me and makes me question everything I believe as a Christian. I can only conclude a few things (based on my reasoning):
Number two seems viable given recent events. After all, George W Bush invoked the name of God many times to support his war in Iraq. If the Bible were being penned today, I wonder if this event would be included?
Good post, Gary. To me it really doesn't matter which of your three points is correct because they all lead to the same conclusion: That particular Bible cannot be trusted as being from any god who loves humans and therefore I have no reason to worship its god.
I think one of the biggest contradictions in the bible is the lineage of David to Jesus. Matthew lists 28 intermediate generations from David to Joseph. But Luke lists 41 intermediate generations. If that isn't bad enough, get this: hardly any of the names match each other's list!
With Jesus playing the starring role in the bible, how can anyone consider this work to be the inerrant and inspired word of a god? You'd think those details would've been accurate for the supposed key character in the history of the world. That is one massive error for an all-knowing, all-seeing god.
Well this thread is a disappointment.
Anyone who would test someones loyalty by asking them to kill his own son, IMO is messed up. And everyone is ok with it because he didn't make him go through with. But if you were as loving as everyone portrays you to be, that thought would not even cross your mind. Not that I believe this fairy tale is true, but just imagine the pain and anguish Abraham would have felt on the way to the sacrifice. Loving my ass!!!!
How about the first few chapters?
Eve eats a piece of fruit, never knowing the consequences of her actions. As a result, God curses her with extreme pain and ALL of her offspring.
