Are you a better neighbor, friend, husband, wife, etc. ??

I'm much less judgmental of what people do or think. I'm more tolerant and I think I have real friends that are not as conditional as my JW brethren.

    What about you?

I certainly am more tolerant toward others. I also feel far less guilt and oppression.

yes, guilty feelings are not the norm.

When Witnesses need to get their "time" in, they will not do kind acts simply because they "need to make" their time. People who aren't JWs have no issue expressing kind or generous acts.

We're better off not being Watchtower Slaves.

I am, yes. I'm not near as judgmental or depressed as I used to be. I'm free to find joy in anything and everything around me, and that includes having for friends people that I deem worthwhile and fun to hang around regardless of religion, the holidays, fornication (maybe once every 2 years), and dressing the way I want (pagan jewelery, miniskirts if I want, and shamrock earrings).

I am, too. I'm far more tolerant of other views now and don't feel guilty for thinking for myself. Also, I'm way less stressed, less miserable, and happier all around.

More optimistic and less consumed with guilt.

I'm the best person now that I've ever been. What bothers me is how hard I had to fight to become who I am. If I had not been raised a JW, I would have been able to nurture the better parts of my nature from the beginning. It's as if I've had to raise myself~as an adult. It's as if my parents did nothing more than feed me, clothe me, poison my mind, and retard my development. The JWs can really ruin you.

I can't imagine how horrible I would be if I were still a JW.

It's funny how we feel less stress, less guilt. This religion is one big guilt trip!

I was a pretty good person as a jw since I did not follow humans. I wasn't so accepted by many jws. Now I tend to be rewarded or commended for being the same person. People who don't improve as time goes by have other problems.

I show love because I WANT to not because I am required to. I have more joy and less guilt. I have more freedom to enjoy life instead of slaving for the WTS.
