It doesn't matter anymore. His message rings true for many, if not most Americans. It has taken root and grown beyond who the catalyst was that started it. He took Americans back to their roots, their founders, and looked at our history, not from what a modern-day analyst's commentary with their own agenda had to say, but from the words, letters, communications back and forth, our historical founders' OWN debates....the greater picture....and started a new debate, a new revival, a new enthusiasm for restoring American honor and truth.
His programs are full of documented history. He has an uncanny ability to connect the dots, but he always....always....tells his viewers not to believe him, but to do their own research and homework. I think many of his critics just don't want to do it. It takes them where they don't want to go. Oh, well! So be it.
He is simply not ashamed to stand up for this country's foundational principles. That's OUR culture and most Americans don't want that destroyed or fundamentally changed.
I'm not religious, but I'm also not turned off by the renewal of what religion means at its core. So the words "God" and "church" and "faith" don't bother me in the least. He will say things like "I'm a clown", "I'm an entertainer", "I'm not a politician", "I'm just a family guy raising kids".....but, if you listen to him in his entirety and not take the parts away from the entire body, you will "get" it.
