Here is what astonishes me:
1. A generation is regarded as 30 to 40 years, according to the article; we know that the WT later amended this to be 70 or 80.
NO matter what length it is, they talk about their overlap; generations overlap, no argument there.
But what the scripture says is: The generation, NOT generations, will not pass away, etc. The society has tried to define the word by giving it qualities that are inimical to it's definition. You can only stretch the idea so far.
Yes, generations overlap, but STILL Jesus said GENERATION, one generation, not plural. But with the utterance of a few 'food at the right time', 'faithful and discreet slave' and 'not running ahead' phrases, the rank and file shuts off their reasoning ability.
2. The WT makes DISPOSABLE DOCTRINE their stock in trade; the rank and file do not catch onto the fact that 'truth' is relative to the moment. Truth is whatever New York says it is.
