Aw, come on, Hil, he was downright inspired on Jeff Beck's "Truth" album. Amazing ad-libery, blows Robert Plant's best clean out of the water. What the hell happened, I don't know--sold his soul for a guarantee of eternal tepidity, maybe?--but I think your number four should be qualified as "Any post-Maggie Mae Rod Stewart (Maggie Mae included)"

Hi Comf,
lol - Yes - I am highly prejudiced. I suppose I should amend it to:
4) Rod Stewart awake
Incidentally, caught Jeff Beck in Seattle a while ago. What can I say...all these years later and he still raises Cain like few others.
How is your musical life these days?
Best regards - HS
Well, nothing came of the death-metal guys (shocker!) and I haven't actively pursued anything. A couple of guys from work (including a former band director) making noise about putting together a weekend jam, and I work sometimes with a consultant who's also a bassist and wants to jam, but it's just talk so far in both cases. I stay in shape with CDs at the house, but am soooooo hungry for live musicians. The pseudo-mind-meld of that kind of group creativity is far more addictive than any substance.
