What day was the Memorial held this year and last? I think the day the Memorial is scheduled for can make a big difference. The attendance goes up a lot if it is held on a Sunday. I think that's because regular folks who are invited to attend are more likely to confuse it with an ordinary Easter celebration if it held on a Sunday, rather than recognise it for the dismal death-glorifying, anointed praising, non-feast snooze fest that it is.
