Cook my socks - I was going to say I haven't been to a meeting since March but my FS group overseer still drops of my mags off to me so I must still have a pigeon hole for my mags (which go straight into recycling!).
REASON for new magazine arrangement.

I believe the WTS is well aware that the number of mags delivered to the local congos don't match up with the number that are reported "placed". There are plenty of folks that were getting say 10 sets (so 20 rags a month) and only reporting say 14 or so "placed". What happened to the remaining 6 (on a good month)? We all know, they stacked up in the closet.
The congo I make appearances with reduced the number of rags to closer to what was reported. And, at the end of the month, there are still left overs.
Honestly, they should have done this years ago when they dropped selling them. When they were selling them, it didn't matter how many were wasted because they were still gettting paid the same amount. When they went to the voluntary contribution, the standing orders were likely not reduced yet the contributions went way down vs what they were getting by selling the mags.
ynot - that's funny! Wouldn't it be rich if it were true that the change from selling to giving away and relying on contributions was really an apostate plot!! Just don't think they're that smart.
Gee it only took them what 15 years to figure out that they were on the losing end of this transaction!
