As many of us know, the shunning policy is a useful tool to the WTS.

It helps to retain members by force, holding family members hostage.

Many members go back, not because they believe in what is being taught

by the WTS, but out of the human need to have the love and affection from

their loved ones still in. This is an Organization that claims to speak for Jehovah,

So once again I'll ask, Does Jehovah prefer forced worship ? let's see what the

WTS says about that in one of their articles.

Nahhhhhh....like they say - Jehovah gives everyone free will.

Just be prepared to have a big building fall on you at the big "a"

But I get your point. If by "Jehovah" you mean the WTS, then yes. They would rather you be a captive to their system of worship then allow you to figure out your own way. Why else would they have such a rigid system of rules and regulations?

In fact, they are so deluded in their belief that they have "the truth" they can print articles like that and not even recognize how it points directly back on their own religious system.

I'm sure all of us at one time or another have been in a stituation, group, job or organization where we are surrounded by idiots or inferiors.

    Do we value their opinion?

Do we crave their approval or admiration?

Or, do we just want to shake them and say: "Shape up!"??

That's what I don't understand about the whole "WORSHIP" addiction God supposedly has where He needs constant approval, praise, acknowledgement and deference by inferior creatures!!

Weak, sinful, imperfect, corrupt and stupid humanity can't possibly be a source of ego-building nourishment just because you scare them into

kneeling before you and uttering magic words.

    What gives?

Um, I'd say by force according to the WTBTS.

I believe the sort of worship God wants is for us to show love and kindness and mercy to our fellow man - most especially to the poor and the downtrodden and the needy.

Shunning is just one weapon he uses. You see death threats ("You are going to get destroyed unless you do it Jehovah's way). Also, Jehovah seems to use hardships. You quit the religion or break one of the rules, you could find yourself up sxxx creek without a paddle. They want witlesses living with witless slumlords, and they want witlesses working for other witlesses. Sometimes, witlesses have a business where their customers are mostly other witlesses. If you quit or get kicked out of the religion, your witless slumlord will probably evict you in the name of not associating with a disfellowshipped person. If you work for a witless, you will probably be looking for another job. If most of your customers are other witlesses, they will quit their accounts and you will probably go belly up before getting worldly customers (on top of the witlesses now finding all the mistakes you make and blabbing them all around the world).

I don't believe the true God wants worship at all. It merely wants all in the universe to flow with its Way.

The name Jehovah is a 14th century Catholic translation mistake..

    The Question should read..

"Does God prefer to be worshiped by Farce?"..
