Lett actually had to deal with a lot of crap early on. He came to brooklyn at 19 and professed to be annointed. He would partake at the memorial with the other GB's. From what I hear people gave him a TON of crap about it.
So...is David Splaine the new bible scholar (or Fred Franz) of the WTBTS?

Didn't Splane start partaking in his late teens/early 20s as well?

If someone got to that unleavened bread at Bethel we could take out all these power-mad morons in one night :)
Death by cracker.
Now, that would be an event I'd happily memorialize every year!

It could be, agonus. I just know that when he was at Bethel he would get the stink eye from people in the hall and the GB for partaking so young. So he's got balls...

So lets assign speculative descriptions of GB 2.0:
Losch-- great expectations, 1st GB 2.0....... hates American Football but loves his speedo and hair products
Splane-- possible ego-maniac, suggested Jehovah had chosen by 1916 on DVD
Lett- get-along kid (successor to Barr)
Herd- Tallest man in the room, known for his strategy games
Pierce-- Jaracz team player- future contribution to leadership unknown.
Morris-- Tony the Turd, our modern day Coca Cola Kid...... lousy public speaker.
Jackson-- reported to be 'fun' and enjoys a good laugh , not perceived as very spiritual---- personal note: has great timing in his DC presentations.

This might be the only "Christian" religion where professing a desire to be with your Lord and Saviour in heaven makes your brothers resent you.

That is very true. I knew a Circuit Overseer in the late 60s, early 70s who professed to be of the annointed. Dave Wetzler. Dave, I would estimate, was born in the middle 1930s and he started partaking while at Bethel - probably in the 50s. I read on this forum that he passed away some years back. We worked together quite a bit back then as I was a pioneer and assistant congregation servant at a small congregation where the "need was great". He told me that he was viewed with great skepticism as a "new annointed" - but that by towing the mark he finally got promoted into the circuit work. He got married at the same time, so I am not sure if that had a factor (they didn't like married couples at Bethel). Dave was, for what it is worth, and in my opinion - a sincere person. However, he simply could not explain what made him feel that he was one of the annointed.

Wrong Way
David (hebr. "beloved one") started to partake when he was 17.

I think this resentment is going to be lessened over time as the WTS continues to distance the GB from those 'lowlife' non-GB anointed and masks the rising partaking numbers by noo-light making partaking a symbolic gesture......

BACK TO SPLANE....
Okay he knows history but does he discern the game fully or is he koolaid drunk?
Does it really matter at all what these boys think? Isn't all the real leg work done by the Given Ones and committees......allowing the figureheads to vote on option A or option B?.........

@knot, we look to you to keep up with that stuff. we can fill in what we know but you are the real insight on them (BTW your remark about me not being like morris now make sense.. i ment to follow up but.. well...)
