I love ya, man!
Ever since becoming a 'hovah, it's been hard for me to show emotion and give hugs a kisses. I'm not quite sure why that is. Pre-JW days, I hugged every one. I became cold and unapproachable. Since leaving 7 years ago, it's been a slow road to gain back my affectionate nature.
Sometimes I hate myself for not being able to say a simple "Ilove you", or give somebody I love a hug. It's weird, but it's a daily struggle for me to show affection to loved ones. I think about it constantly.

I understand that totally.
I think it's the apocalyptic nature of the religion that can have that effect on ppl. Thinking that the world is coming to an end and living with the fact that one day u are going to lose family and some friends to Armageddon, tends to put a damper on most ppl's outlook. at least it did with me. It was sooo hard to concentrate on anything worthwhile (besides the few things that went on at the KH) because it all just seemed to be for nothing.
