Why does the Elder I work with have a Gambling internet account on our work Computer???

  Yes an Elder who I work with and takes the Theocratic school every week has an internet gambling account???? I was snooping thru his personal computer file and found it {I'm bad}....afew weeks later after he told me he was an Elder it dissapeared. He started working with us without ever saying he was a Witness...this went on for months before a sister from another department said "Hey _____ is an Elder did ya know?" The next week he came clean, and the account was deleted.

  I guess he like to place a bet each way....Jehovah and horses!!!! I'm pissed off that 2 Elders have worked in my department in the last 5 years! Though obviously some are not so loyal.

  As you know, Jehovah loves the little birds of the field and takes notice when any one of them falls.

  Unfortunately, there are so many birds that Jehovah has had to rely on some of his "bright shining ones" to keep an eye on the horsies.

  You may find that some elders are assigned to oversee the community of amateur and professional porn stars, prayerfully anticipating their redemption.

  Never question the elders; their ways are higher than your ways.

  There is no prohibition against gambling anywhere in the Bible. The "sin" of gambling is a WT "sin" (among other fundie religions), not a bible one.

  I say, "You go mr. gambling on the Internet elder guy. This Bud's for you"

  The more people ignore the rules and laws handed down from on high from the GB, the more this religion rots from the inside.

  I sympathize because I've always gambled, even when I was an active JW. I pitched pennies and nickels in grade school. Played poker, bet on games watched and played as I grew older. As an adult I went to casinos, played sports pools, played the lottery, and eventually joined Internet gambling sites. I never held to the JW stand on gambling when there was no hard evidence in the Bible that condemned it.

  One time, when I was MS, I told a worldly guy that works with an elder for years. I told him, he is JW, the worldly guy was very shocked. Not long after that, someone told me he was deleted as an elder then he became inactive and he had a goatee, last time I heard he shaved it off and married a JW sister.
