Good for you,
just because there were two occasions that put b-days in a bad light
I don't see anywhere in the Bible that bans them

If you can celebrate a birthday with no guilt then you must have a conscience so scarred by evil that you no longer know the difference between good and bad. From here it is just a short step to killing and eating babies, or, worse, not underlining your Watchtower lesson.

Hee hee. I remember the first Halloween after we were completely free of the Borg our 7 year old son dressed up as a really cute mini dracula and knocked on the door of our neighbour who gave him a pound for being so scary. He was thrilled!
It seemed really wiered when we first started celebrating Birthdays. If we had been aliens pretending to be humans I don't think we could have felt more out of place to start with, but we don't even stop to think about it now.
