Many years ago my supercillious brother, who thinks is so intelligent, pronounced Hyperbole as Hyper-bowl when reading the Watchtower.

Their was this brother who was uneducated and only learnt to read and write when he became a jw...Anyway he was asked to read the bible readings and he always tried soo hard...It was painful to watch as he used to get in a state.. During one bible reading he was on the platform and was really struggling and said ''oh f@*k this'' and stropped out the KH...When he was asked to do another bible reading, every few words he kept saying ''oh shit''.....It was painful...Funny though to watch the anal brothers purse their lips and start tutting!

Can I join LisaRose and share something that was not from the platform? (Sorry it's off topic, but it's pretty...uhhh...terrible... and it was I who was the weirdo).
When I was about 16, I came down with the stomach flu. My stomach was killing me, but I was told that I HAD to go to the meeting even if I was sick. No choice whatsoever. I was always very enthusiastic about the meetings so you'd think that would have sent a message as it was the only time I had ever asked...uh...BEGGEd not to go.
Moments before the prayer, I ran to the back and somehow made it to the toilet...just in time. I VIOLENTLY puked my guts out (sorry). Apparently it was hard to hear the prayer over the puking.

Again, not from the platform and we didn't see it, but - the bro on the mic forgot to leave it behind when he went to the bathroom during the song, sound guy had left it on and so we were all treated to his farting through - "lets watch what we preach and watch what we teach" song!

CuriousButterly, That was a funny story! If I am right, I think you had shared it on another thread that got deleted? Someone else told a story on the deleted thread that I thought was funny as well. It went something like: During a prayer a brother said damn (or something like it) and then he said oh god I said damn... I can't remember the exact wording but it made me bust up laughing. Who posted that? Can whoever posted it retell it here with the right wording? It was funny! -LV
