Soldier77,
Thanks for the book suggestion. I'll check it out.
I'm really interested in psychology and sociology, having a degree in sociology.
That major sure did open my eyes to the outside world, the real world outside the cult.

Everyone is weird except for me and you and sometimes I wonder about you...
(1Corinthians 1:26-29) . . .For YOU behold his calling of YOU, brothers, that not many wise in a fleshly way were called, not many powerful, not many of noble birth; 27 but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put the wise men to shame; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put the strong things to shame; 28 and God chose the ignoble things of the world and the things looked down upon, the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are, 29 in order that no flesh might boast in the sight of God.
Depends on your definition of mental illness / impariment. Being socially maladjusted (as opposed to personality disorders) isn't what I call a mental illness.
trueblue, lol
Well, look at where the Christendom (yes, it's really called that but in a good way) is headed, in the U.S., anyway.
People are leaving the churches and doing their own thing for spirituality.
That scripture is being proven false if it is supposed to show how much god is blessing his congregation.
I don't think that most are mentally ill or impared just deceived....But, I also think that most allow themselves to get into the position of belonging to a cult while trying to look for something spiritually higher.
I wouldn't say MOST are wacko but there's enuf of them that are!!
