Do you think your leaving makes it easier for others to leave, too?

    What YKnot said...

To a certain extent, it depends on HOW you leave, but generally speaking, YES, leaving makes it easier for others to follow...

The thread is "Darkside calling you out"

    Yknot,

Why do You need to dispel concern about you? I am sure You are a wonderful person.

    You will

never win trust of those who are entrenched that you are an enemy.

When You do leave, rest assured it will be a big deal.

Be strong. Lead. Protect. Be Blessed.

    Welcome

    Yknot,

Do You know that You should never as a stagedy "deeply entrench" Yourself? Not behind enemy lines sweetie....Have You ever played chess?

I know we arent allowed to play as jw's....but my point is this... remove yourself from danger so that You may calculate your next move and not lose more members or be taken yourself.

Use stagety here.... YOU are the important component in the game. And it is a game dear one...

Yes, since our departure in Jan 2010, BIL, his wife and nephew have just recently said enough was enough. No more meetings for them.

I don't wanna ramble on, as I am proned to do..But to me the word dispell means to send away....

To stop, to seperate yourself or something from....

    To set right...

That is noble and right to me... Yknot, I would love to have You at my table. I would consider Myself Honored to be in Your company. To read that you need to in any way should need to hide Yourself makes me sad....I make a mean skettie and meatballs Ya know?

I don't know better, but I believe that perhaps people could even agree to leave one by one. As in "I'm leaving now and taking the initial heat. You stay there until the time is right. Now you get out, too, and make sure we bring so and so...".

Twitch, I was just thinking about families where everyone is a witness (worldly relatives having been forgotten one or two generations ago). Someone has to get the snowball rolling...

Little Witch, I understand what you're telling YKnot. But maybe everyone needs to do things their own way, as their own particular circumstances demand. Me, I will be very, very happy the day I will finally hear from YKnot saying ALL THE YKNOTTIES are out!

No, not if I leave too soon. People can only follow if you lead. You can't lead my stubborn family from the outside, I will have to take the lead from the inside. but not until my mother has passed on. It would cause her death to have that kind of strain and upset in her physical condition. My time will come. Already I am having an influence....

Yes, but it can take a long time. My brother shunned me for 18 years unless he was at our non-jw dad's house. People generally don't cross my dad, because at times he is...shall we say...aggressive and overbearing, so my brother was forced to talk to and eat with me at Dad's house. I had a few opportunities thoughout the years to tell him that the world wasn't like what the Watchtower said it was. And, of course, dear old dad was steady bitching about my brother being in a cult. It took a long time, but when he finally decided to get out for good, he called to let me know. It's been four years, and it's like we've never ben apart.
