    I wish I would have seen this earlier. Lady Lee is a gem and her needs must be met. If it wasn't for Lady Lee and a few others on this site and Freeminds I'd still be in the cult. How do you put a price tag on that?

    Although I would like to ensure everyone has food for their families I can't. I can however help ensure that one person has a computer and can then help thousands (maybe more) become free of mind control.

    In my humble opinion, if you haven't been around long enough to know how valuable Lady Lee is - then you probably shouldn't comment on the subject.

    That was a really unkind thing to say.

    I was merely pointing out that I thought after the Yizuman problem the board had made an announcement that there would be no more asking for contributions on the board..no exceptions. I think it was stated that they could be asked for via message or E Mail.

    I realize lady lee works hard as do a lot of other members.

    I have made contributions here before!!! And I have checked out the ones I made contributions to before I made a donation.

    And to respond to me like you did was uncalled for and cruel..

    PS The listener..I've been around here longer than most on this board.( 11-2001).and I too think Lady Lee is a gem..I never ever said she didn't deserve help. Just wanting clarification of board policy.

    Surely we don't need rules to cover every possible situation? Rules are necessary, so in knowing when to bend or break them.

    Maybe someone can remove this thread before Lee sees and upset by it.

    Lady Lee never asked for anything..

    Lady Lee does`nt have a Long History of Hinting/Begging for Money,or anything else..

    A person whom I shall not name,did..Thats why I raised a Shit Storm..

    When Randy told me what he did I admit I was embarassed. I hate asking for help or for anything. It just goes against my abuse-trained nature.

    And I was speechless and moved to tears by the kindness of the many who have contributed to getting me back online. Words just can't express how thankful I am to all of you. I owe you a debt I will never be able to repay.

    For those of you who posted messages here on JWN - thank you. Kind words are always welcome.

    So far I have Windows installed, the modem and nothing else - not even my printer or other peripherals lol So I have a lot of work to do over the weekend to get productively functional again. Hopefully by Monday I will be back at Freeminds with the Dear Lee column. And life will return to normal - whatever that is

    I want my Google toolbar with its Spellcheck. I want my Internet Explorer 8. Heck I need some light. It's getting dark in here.

    I can understand your confusion. I think there are a couple of differences and perhaps I shouldn't be the one to mention them since I am the beneficiary here but. . .

    Many of the cases that have not been allowed were cases where people were asking for the money for themselves. There were questions about how the money would be used, what assurances people would have that their money would go to what it was being requested for and how legit the causes were. IN one case in particular it seemed that despite many donations in the past the person was back asking for more.

    Simon saw fit to put a stop to people soliciting money from other posters this way. And I agree with that decision. I think Simon, Angharad and the mods all feel a certain protectiveness of the posters here. The kindness and generosity of JWN members should never be taken advantage of.

    I hope that clarifies the issue for you and the decisions that have been made.
