Contradictions are a huge RED FLAG for dishonesty

It is not confined to religion--our president does the same thing to us. However, this religion consistently has the same discrepancies between teachings and reality. Their consistent failure to produce Armageddon is one glaring example. Their rules that succeed in making dorks and creating lifelong stagnation in people is another. And, they attempt to speculate on things that really don't matter, requiring the whole congregation to believe the current viewpoint only to change them a few years later.

Bad enough to be subject to the delusions of an improving economy when we are still in the early stages of the Greater Depression With Hyperinflation. But, do we also need to be continually worrying that we are murdering people by not being out in field circus all the time?

I'd say the "contradictions" are an indicator of something more.

    Timothy 4:2 (New International Version)

2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.

    Blessings,

    Titus 1:15
To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

Once People start looking at everything through a cloud of mistrust and scepticism I think they lose the ability to see pure truths anymore. Everything just appears as contradictions IMO.

Good point, funny how I find myself applying that scripture to Judge Rutherford. He banned the holidays and birthdays seeing corruption in them.
