The HELIOCENTRICITY thread!!

Since we've got a thread discussing views on the theory of evolution, I would like to start a boilerplate thread to DISCUSS HELIOCENTRICITY.

So, I ask our members, what do you think about the veracity of the astrological theory known as HELIOCENTRICITY?

Is it true? Is it false? Does the earth REALLY orbit the sun... or vice versa?

Do you have a scientific reason why or why not?

PS. Yes, I'm being sarcastic, but with a purpose. BurnTheShips, you're probably going to hate me for for this satirical thread, but I really was hoping to emphasize the fact (for those who question evolution) that the scientific community considers evolutionary theory to have just as massive a mountain of evidence as heliocentricity.

From 1881 until 1953 the Watchtower believed that Jehovah resided at the center of the universe on the star Alcyone in the cluster known as Pleiades. And they new this because the Great Pyramid in Egypt pointed this out.
