If Wonderful World, Beautiful People wasn't the first reggae song I heard, this one would be it. I recall sitting in Royal Castle in Morgan City, Louisiana listening this play on the radio when it hit in 69 or 70 or so. I thought it was amazing!

This is the third reggae song I ever heard. It's so beautiful, crisp and clear, the arrangement.

At Uni the other night we had a talk from the artist/poet Linton Qwasi Johnson about reggae and its influence re African consciousness...with lots of emphasis on Mr Marley's music.
Just thought I'd pop that in for anyone interested.

I love all the oldies...ska/dancehall etc. I saw UB40 at the St Andrews gound in the 80's. Best concert of my life. Wish I could'a seen Bob...
