Another no-no from the WT. This was obviously some sort of manuscript talk, I was there and heard it at the St. Louis assembly and asked around, and I know it was at other district conventions. What business is this for the FDS to be in, not a scriptual affair at all. They used the "braiding of the hair" as support. It's getting ridiculous how the organization is inserting itself into everything. Next thing, they'll tell the sisters they can't color their hair.

So, is "braiding of the hair" forbidden?
I assume they're grasping at 1 Peter 3:3, "...And do not let YOUR adornment be that of the external braiding of the hair and of the putting on of gold ornaments or the wearing of outer garments,..."
It would seem reasonable to me that IF this scripture can be used to ban THINGS IT DOES NOT MENTION, then it MUST ALSO ban the things that are mentioned. Am I being unreasonable?
Someone - not me, heaven forbid - should call Bethel or write to Questions from the readers about this.
I miss LDH - she would have called Bethel in a heartbeat.

They should be wearing only underwear to the assemblies, then.

Crotchless panties and open-nipple bras, in the fashion approved of by Judge Roaring Twenties himself.
Attendance would improve, and more people would be Awake! and smiling.
They could say it was a foreshadowing of the freedom soon to be experienced in the earthly paradise.
Some stalwart brother is going to have to assume the necessary responsibility of checking to make sure that all the sister's breasts are not enhanced with Satanic Silicone. "LORD, here am I, send me! Send me!"

The WTS want the money from such things to be sent for the WWW so the GB can move upstate to their paradasaic new home as soon as possible.

Excellent point Nathan! It goes beyond their capacity for logic.
Satanic silicone?!! That is hilarious! I have no doubt many would volunteer to "handle the situation."
Botox "firms things up" I guess Viagra is out too. It's not a medical emergency either (well . . . I guess that could be argued!)
Their rules are absolutely ridiculous.

Yes Nathan, by "braiding of the hair" the scripture is Evidently TM referring to "injections under the skin".
