  The Christian churches in Acts and the epistles becomes "God's organization" headquartered in Brooklyn.

  Despite Romans 11, Israel becomes "Jehovah's Witnesses."

  Jesus' prophecy about the destruction his generation would see becomes a prophecy about the Watchtower and what the generation of 1914 will see.

  The 7 trumpets of Revelation become various meetings in Watchtower history.

  The 'sabbath rest of God" becomes 1975.

  The list goes on and on.

  Your experience sounds about right - we're freshly "out", and I can assure you the average JW these days does not have a clue about current doctrine, nor do they care. All they know is they must do as the GB instructs them, and this makes them "spiritual" and worthy of everlasting life.

  We wrote a very long letter outlining the doctrine and application of prophecy that we had issues with. After a couple of weeks we did get a visit from 2 elders, but their only concern was that we may not refuse blood - they didn't even address anything else!
