No one was ridiculing the Miners or their plight. Just a little silly venting of frustration toward a faceless organization that on occasion spins senarios like this into something that puts them in the favorable spotlight. Geeez !

I guess that Jws miner is glad he was not leading a double life
Someone posted on another thread that one of the miner's wives found out about his mistress during the ordeal and refused to show up for the rescue. Wouldn't that be a hoot if that were the JW miner?

I posted this on another thread about the claim of one of the miners being a JW:
...what does it matter? Is it a more heartwarming story to dubs if they 'think' that one of their own might be involved? Otherwise, it's just a bunch of 'worldly' people who get to live to die at Armageddon...
Adding: and if this is not true, it shows how desperate JWs are to want to fit in with normal society. One of the more heartwarming stories of the year and they have to figure out an angle to be involved.
