Knocking was flawed in that it presented JW's as crusaders for human rights and yet completely glossed over the fact that Witnesses deny those very same rights to their members.

It is very obvious that Engardio was never baptised. Had he been pressured into a young baptism as many of us "born ins" were, he would be playing a different tune.
As a young baptised witness he would have been disfellowshipped, thrown out of the family home and rarely spoken to again.
