Billy the Ex-Bethelite
After this weekend's Botchtower lesson, it's an odd fact that they keep boasting about God's Sovereignty bringing perfection. When they start talking about the example of Solomon's perfect rule, how can they ignore the fact that after just a few years, "wise" Solomon chose hot women and big money over worshipping Jehovah? Every Biblical example that they would use "foreshadowing Kingdom rule" is always quickly followed by "apostasy" and epic failure. How can they argue for God's sovereignty and his right to rule, when the history revolves around failures of his chosen nation and thousands of years of inaction on his part.
It makes me wonder if Jesus followed Solomon's wise example and is up in heaven with tons of gold and hundreds of hot "worldly" women.

^ Interesting point Billy. And even now, the WT have been exposed as being highly corrupt. Maybe the Bible is trying to tell us to stop trying to create the "perfect group" cause it doesn't happen, that's not what is supposed to happen.
