Outline For Service Meeting: Benefiting From Kind Provisions

    Take a look at: http://watchtower.observer.org/apps/pbcs.dll/artikkel?NoCache=1&Dato=20020124&Kategori=NEWS&Lopenr=201240001&Ref=AR

This is the latest "New Light", and this subject has been discussed all over the board, I've heard.

Instead of claiming all and everything, I feel it's much better to produce evidence to what the rules really are - and then the JW apologists can simply shut up and accept facts.

I will be interested in comments.

"Then after making an informed decision, fill out both the Advance Medical Directive/Release card and the HCAD for for the best protection. We encourage you not to delay-Pr.16:20"

So much for free will, it appears the informed decision can only be one decision. Watchtower decision for you.

Thanks for posting this Kent, notice thas this direction and the note in the Jan Km were that the blood cards would be handed out, so why did the WTBS 2 weeks after sending out this outline, then send a letter asking for all the new cards to be destroyed and not handed out

    Cheers

Yes, that is the outline that was copied for all book study conductors. My conductor had already shown it to me. I already posted the reason for the destruction of the new cards on the following thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=20083&site=3

Okay, but what jumps out at me from this is that it's business as usual -- you WILL get your cards and fill them out the usual way, signing only in the presence of witnesses at your book study groups, and you are exhorted strongly to have the Health Care Advance Directive completed as well and on file with your primary care physician, at the hospital where you will have surgery, with copies to your family members and designated advocate.

HOWEVER, at the meetings in several countries, the congregants were told NOT to fill out a MAD this year and to use last year's. Why? Some have pointed out that there was a printing error in cards issued in June of 2001 (anyone have a card with that printing date on it that we could compare with the 3/99 one?). Perhaps the printing error would provide a clue as to whether the issue is strictly legal, "new light" or both.

Hey, SexyTeen! My book study conductor never showed ME any outlines of his talks -- why would yours show his to a 17 year old GIRL? Care to explain the circumstances? It strikes me as odd.

Sorry outnfree, you're not special. lol. My book study conductor is my dad, and showed the outline to whoever asked to see it. He handed it out so that each one could write down the Watchtower references.

Sorry Sexy - that "Opps we made a printing error" doesn't sit to well with me either. Ask yourself, doesn't the text always remain about the same year to year. If it didn't this year, why not? "New light"? "Light" they decided to "turn off" (at least for a bit). The final questionable item is the print date 6/01. You're saying that they printed enough cards to mail to all the congos 6 months in advance yet failed to find a 'printing error' until 2 weeks before the distribution? I hardly think so. If that were true they need to fire the 'editor' of the blood cards.

Sexy, you can't pull the typical JW 'ignore the man behind the curtain' reasoning on people on this board. Unlike most JWs, people here actually question what they are told and examine the facts/rumors for themselves.

    OUTNFREE,

I would support "Sexy" in that there is no reason why a sensible elder should not show an outline to anyone that he was feeling relaxed with. -after all he had delivered the contents of it publicly.

I would have done in my day.

NameWithheld: Fine, work yourself up in your own mind with this conspiracy nonsence. Fire the editor for an error? I'd hate to work for you.
